Walking Wednesday Returns in the Spring

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the first 3 weeks of Walking Wednesday. Students, staff and parents walked a whopping 1,196 miles in just 3 weeks. That is more than everyone walked last fall in the first 4 weeks.

Which class earned the Golden Sneaker award for the most participation? This year, we have two awards, first and second place. First place goes to Mrs. Plotkin’s first grade class with 87.7% participation and second place goes to Mrs. Ancona’s class with 82.5% participation.

Our last Walking Wednesday for the year will be Wednesday, November 14th. The program will start up again in the spring. Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers that take time from their busy days to help out with the walking program. The students really are having fun, getting great exercise and developing excellent exercise habits. Without our terrific volunteers, we couldn't run the walking program. Thank you so much!
